Help Guatemalan youth build a brighter future.
Maya Lacrosse was established in 2005 and operates as part of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Maine College Circle that I established in 1992. Both organizations work to raise aspirations, and to empower youth, so that they can build a brighter future for themselves and for their communities.
Getting lacrosse equipment to Guatemala is always difficult . . . and expensive. But they do need more equipment. Several teams from the US have visited and helped with lacrosse in the past. It is possible. And, they can always use our financial support for travel, supplies, and to compensate some of the Guatemalan coaches. They practice in their community and try to engage other youth. And, they participate in a few competitions with other teams from Central America each year.

You can make an online donation through Maine College Circle and Bloomerang at the link below. Just select “Other” for the amount of your donation, and select Maya Lacrosse under “My donation is for.” All of your donation will go directly to support lacrosse teams in Guatemala. All of these teams are in communities that are struggling to move life forward. We are trying to bring the opportunity of lacrosse to these communities so that the players can build a brighter future for themselves and for their community and country. We want to help them see the value of working as a team, pursuing a healthy lifestyle, and giving to others no matter how much you have or don’t have.
