The Guatemala Lacrosse Festival ‘08, August 20 & 21, was very successful, thanks to the strong support from US lacrosse players and friends, Maine lacrosse teams, the Polar Bear lacrosse team, Millbrook School, and many others. 95 lacrosse youth lacrosse amigos y amigas from Safe Passage (at the Guatemala City dump); Palin, (Los Bobs); Livingston; and Quetzaltenango (Xelacrosse) learned much about the sport, built confidence in their ability, made friends, had fun, and hopefully, opened up new opportunities in their lives.
